Dr Wei Ying Wong


Dr. Wei Ying has worked in interdisciplinary and multicultural conservation projects both locally and internationally for almost two decades. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Environmental Studies at Brown University. As Director of Conservation Impact at Philadelphia Zoo, her role is to effectively engage diverse stakeholders in conservation and achieve measurable outcomes.

Dr Wei Ying is an applied researcher. Her interests are in and how education programming and institutional planning can be integrated with audience research and evaluation to maximize conservation impact. Wei Ying is committed to the establishment of inclusive discourses and socially just environmental policies, that encourage both broad and critical reflection of the cultural and economic systems that impact conservation efforts.
